Borrowed $6400. 00 for 4 online classes. I was diagnosed with cancer before finishing the 1st course. I asked for a refund for the 3 I never started. Ed2go told me I had 10 days to request a refund. That's 10 days after starting the 1st class. Neither the school or the bank would help. It's been 8 yrs and this is still on my credit... Been a total NIGHTMARE!
I had health issues and applied for an extension. A month ago I was told I would receive a response back in 1-3 business days. I have been reaching out to them since then and have not received any sort of response regardless as to how and who I try to contact from their company. Being that I paid for this course to help me get a cert out of pocket I am really upset with their lack of professionalism and would highly advise anyone thinking of taking a course through them to steer clear and find a company that is actually interested in helping you get your cert.
After signing up for Ed2Go classes to earn certificates in Digital Marketing and Social Media for Business, I was excited to begin learning new skills that would hopefully help me in my career. The links to my classes was sent by UGotClass. I was disappointed when I discovered the content was mostly unimaginative, with "canned" slide presentations and links to outdated articles on both subjects. I jumped through the hoops, though, in hopes of at least learning something new. After 3 months of working through the content, I was awarded the certificates I earned, only to find out they are generic with the wording "Certificate of Achievement" (no mention anywhere of Digital Marketing or Social Media for Business on the certificates). A picture of my "Digital Marketing Certificate" from UGotClass / LERN is included with this review... I could have read up on digital marketing and social media for business on my own, and made my own certificates instead of spending hundreds of dollars on these courses. Very big disappointment! If you are looking for credible courses to help advance your career, and counting on having proof of your efforts, don't go with Ed2Go.
What a bunch of crap and waist of money My poor son who has a disability btu has a brain was tricked into this crappy program and then to take the certification test and find things in the test that were not covered in the program. Shame on you my son only wanted something to show he can do it.
I had a overall good experience. It was convenient and I didn't have to worry about the stress of not finishing it into me. Thank you
Don't believe the false advertisements for one-on-one assists or practical hands-on teaching with load boards, software, or anything other than information. You can find all the information you get from ed2go, on the internet for free. There are some courses that will give hands-on practice and assist for a cheaper price. Ed2go Freight Broker class online gives information. You will have to print your certificate from your email pages because a student reported them to BBB for never receiving one. They do not find agent placement after you complete the course, has they say. Keep short, find a better class. Ed2go freight broker class is not worth $1800. Throughout the course, there is never a teacher doing anything. They collect the money and go.
When I searched a specific school with the desired certificate, ed2go.com always popped up. The sketchy part is when you click on their website the school banner changes on ed2go.com to make you think it is affiliated with that specific school. I even reached out to my university asking if they had a partnership with ed2go.com and they said they do not. DO NOT SPEND YOUR MONEY AT THIS WEBSITE.
Waste of money, the training and material is junk, there is no lectures, videos absolutely nothing. If I would have known I wouldnt have taken course.
I completed their Certified Medical Administrative Assistant program about a year ago. It was so not worth the money it cost. All you did was read a book, watch a few clips, answer questions and take an easy test at the end of each chapter. Thought we would be using software of some kind to mimic working in an office or anything but what we did.
I took the advanced hospital coding and CCS Prep program. I didnt get my certificate because i still owed money to the program because I financed it. After I paid off the program costs plus more because it was in collection, I contacted Education 2 Go for my certificate. I had no response for a long time I was told a generic statement that my program was "incomplete" and was told I need to re apply in the program pay the whole program cost to get a certificate. If this is a school, why cant I get any proof of the coursework that I completed and what was so called incomplete. I log into the website and it says i completed over 82 hours of coursework but they cannot tell me what was incomplete. The counselor then, told me it was many years ago. I havent forgot but the classes should still have some worth. Very Insulting and Suspicious of this so called school.
Ever since I started this program I feel I opened a Pandora's box. I paid $2.495 for a pharmacy technician program. The program is self taught. If you have any problem or doubt advisors are useless. They know less than you do. Anyways at the end of the program I applied for an externship with Walgreens. After over a month waiting with no answer back I finally received an email, but the stupid coordinator said I wasn't eligible because of a conviction. I was REALLY MAD. I know I have a clear record. I demanded a copy of the record and it shows I have a traffic ticket from 2 years ago for fail to stop. SERIOUSLY! THIS IS NOT A CRIME. CONVICTIONS? I contacted the director of the program and even she agreed that's not reason to exclude me from an externship. This background check was done by the school not the pharmacy. They said I could just go and find externship on my own. Yes very professional. They took my money and my time. Just so you know pharmacies will not take people who just walk in asking for an externship due to liability issues. I have lost count of how many pharmacies I asked. Unless someone in your family is a pharmacist. Then I would suggest take the training anywhere else but not from Ed2go. Now I spent money getting licensed and without experience, no one will hire me. They take money from your account within 24 hours after enrollment. Then you are screwed
Ive been studying with ed2go for over a year now for my certificate in business management and HS Diploma. Ive been changed over to four different academic coaches. The first one, I had requested to be changed multuple times because she could not abide by one simple request, dont call me until after noon. I explained again and again, I work night shift, Ive been alseep for 3 hours and youve woken me up until finally one day I lost it on her, her response? None, she stopped talking! About a month and a half later I finally got someone else due to other circumstances. You get stuck and cant get past a test? Good luck! Currently on #5 attempt for a history final and am offered no help! Ive been watching youtube videos and reading about the questions for daaays, they are so specific it seems impossible to actually find the amswer they want. THE ONLY REASON WHY I HAVE PUSHED THROUGH IS BECAUSE I SPENT SO MUCH MONEY AND THEIR ARE NO REFUNDS!
I took ed2go inexpensive courses that around $100 per online course and they were okay for the price; however, I just signed up for an IT Security Certification Course with ed2go (A $5000. 00 course) and this course is no better than their $100 courses. So for the price of the course it is pretty bad and I would like to make sure to get the word out to as many people as possible not to waste your hard earned money away with ed2go's more expensive courses. I took this ed2go class through National University, and National University should be embarrassed to have their name associated with ed2go. I have taken online certification courses through UC Irvine and VillaNova University and both of those Universities were excellent well run online courses/certification courses. I really think I got scammed with signing up with ed2go for this IT Security Certification Course, and I will not take any more ed2go courses unless they are the low cost ($100 courses). Oh by the way, once you start their online program there are NO REFUNDS, so they swindle you out of your money!
Horrible and wasteful, poor "instructors" at best... appeared to be just another scheme to get $$$$$$$ However the CA State DOR did just that. Never got any responses from "instructor in Paralegal ABA voucher program. What a waste and what a bunch of scammers... RUN and DO NOT LOOK BACK!
I took a small Java course to learn computer programming, for about $200. It was good, similar to a beginner book but the instructor was helpful & answered questions timely. Nice. At the end of the year they offered year end discounts, I took an Accounting Course, and a more expensive Java course, hoping to really get compentant. The accounting was similar, reasonable price, only a bit dated (printouts not spreadsheet) and alot of payroll that nowadays people would likely use a service for. Still, the instructor was very helpful. Except for this AWFUL $1,000 Java course I've taken. It's terrible. Imagine reading a book on your computer screen, no humanized or instructor crafted notes. A few videos from an obvious previous training website platform, where they just kinda show you Java, like they're bragging about it or something?! Uhmm, excuse me guys, when can I join in? I feel like I'm 14 watching my 18 year old brother & his friends hog up the computer time. Awful. Do not sign up for any expensive courses. $100-$200, maybe at your own risk, but anything else previous students seem to have signed up for a similar fate. Bad course, no real value, no refunds. No job growth from it. You've been warned. DO NOT SPEND BIG MONEY HERE! Courses are very shoddy and not real 'professional training'.
What a joke! I was told I could start my own business as a HVACR technician by taking the online course. Not true. I was told I was going to learn everything I needed to repair heating and cooling units. This class is for those who have their certification and are going for their NATE certification. When speaking to them on the phone and through email, the staff even admits it. I stopped paying for the classes so they blocked my access which fine. A year and a half later, I get turned over for the full amount of the loan. Even the instructor at Wake Tech Community College told me there is no way you can do this with out hands on training. The ed2go has not been helpful at all. Their answer is to "become a familiar face" in the business according to Chris Compton who is the brain child of this online program.
I foolishly spent about two thousand dollars on their California chartered tax preparer course. I didn't get far through it because I could see from the start that it is trash. I have to say that anybody who would spend a penny of his or her money or a minute of his or her time on this course isn't smart enough to be a tax preparer and would probably inflict malpractice on the public, so for the sake of the public and yourself stay away! IRS tax forms are in essence sequences of algorithms so they can be easily computerized. They are computerized and anybody who works in this field uses a computer program to calculate any taxes from the most simple to the most complex. This course wastes the time and the energy and the money of the student by requiring the student to spend hours with each printed tax form and a hand calculator to do what anybody working in the field would accomplish in a minute or two, or less than that, with just a few clicks of his or her mouse. Of course one must be very familiar with tax principles in order to prepare taxes and to advise his or her client in such a manner that he or she avoids harming his or her client by malpractice but this course does not teach tax principles adequately if at all; it is mostly very expensive busy work. Ed2Go bought the course from a commercial tax school that is located in Virginia and that is essentially a degree mill. Somebody is making a lot of money from this and it is not the Ed2Go student.
IM super upset with Ed 2 Go. I feel like I have been scammed. I bought a very expensive course from them that took 6 months to complete. Once your course time ends you are not allowed to access all the info that you completed. The only thing I get to keep is the stupid book they made me purchase. This is complete BS I should be allowed to access my completed work forever. Now I have to blow them up with bad reviews. Thanks for NOTHING ED2GO THEY DO NOT LET YOU KEEP YOURE COMPLETED WORK TO USE FOR A RESOURSE WITH ANY FUTURE QUESTIONS
Just finished an excellent Excel course in three sections through Excelsior College, NY. Highly recommended. Registered for SharePoint 2016 through another institution but still ed2go and dropped it within days. Confusing content, poor customer service, just frustrating. Had high expectations given the Excel experience. They also don't seem interested in feedback. Won't go back to ed2go. Checking out Lynda! So far great.
Completed ICD 10 Coding Course online through a local college. Course was well organized, informative and was completed without any problems. Waited 10 weeks and made multiple phone calls, ultimately threatened to take action before I was transferred to Manager of Student Services who immediately intervened and got Completion Certificate mailed out next day.
Great Class, good instructors, learned a lot of great stuff. Helpful for any medical office/hospital jobs. Good lessons easy to understand.
I signed up for an instructor led course to study for the Project Management Professional certification. Unfortunately, the course material was riddled with errors, and the instructor was MIA. For example, the answer to the question of how to show leadership on a project was to "buy everyone t-shirts". That is obviously ridiculous, and the instructor would make up excuses as why the wrong answers were actually correct. Unfortunately I had purchased more than one class, and after the disaster the first class turned out to be, I asked for a refund on the other classes I hadn't taken. They refused.
I have recently taken 4 Ed2go courses. They all were very well organized and informative. I will be taking additional courses from them in the future. Love the convenience of taking online courses.
I signed up for a program to prepare for the SPHR certification test and paid over $1700. Received my link to the online classroom and was assigned an instructor. Started the program and with lesson 2 noticed the textbook pages in the assignments did not match the syllabus assignments. I contacted the instructor and was told they need to update the syllabus and she sent me the correct information. I found this a little strange especially for the cost of the program. After reading the pages given, I took the next assigned quiz and there where questions on the quiz that did not match the reading assignment. Then I tried to do the written assignment and could not find the material in the assigned reading. Extremely frustrated after wasting my time I contacted the instructor again. She had given me the reading assignment for the wrong program! After wasting over 2 weeks of my time on this and evaluating how much money I spent I decided to drop the program. I contacted the advisor and was told it was past the 10 day refund period. Since it took me longer than that working on the wrong assignments there is no way I knew within the 10 days this was a waste of money. After complaining my request was escalated. Then I was told they would make an exception and refund all but $412. I thought that was ridiculous to be charge that much for a waste of my time and asked for a breakdown of what I was being charged. The email response was they do not have a breakdown, a formula is followed. I have contacted ed2go multiple times saying this is not right and all I get back is we are making an exception for and one of the best responses was "even with the wrong info I was able to learn"! I asked for a phone number today since this going back and forth via email is getting nowhere and was told there is not one to contact, they do everything by email so there is a record of it. The emails back and forth have been going on for days and I am told I have to accept the offer by the 15th. I checked the online syllabus again just to see how much they care about proving wrong information and it is still NOT corrected. This company made the error both in the portal and the instructor and I am being penalized for this which is not right. BEWARE! Do not waste your money!
The material is outdated. The "alleged" counselor that you are assigned never responds to your emails but they are quick to send a review link and request you give a good review. The professor has too many students to recall who you are
