Handy.com sent Raymond to installed timer light switches (7) to automatically control our exterior lights. He was on-time, professional, and courteous. Early on, he noticed a problem with one of the switches and headed out to the hardware store to get a replacement. He picked up what was needed and returned to finish the job without going over the prepaid time. I highly recommend the service and will definitely use it again.Booked the Handy service and was given an appointment over a week away. On the day of the appointment, the person did not show up, they said he was in a car accident. Rescheduled with another person but he was not available until three day later. He showed up 15 minutes late and did complete the job but I had to help him as the job required two people to move the equipment. These workers are all independent contractors so your mileage may vary.I needed some help installing new light fixtures. It's been very hard to book a handy man, so I checked in with Handy.com. At Handy, I was able to book a technician quickly. The technician arrived promptly as scheduled bringing all necessary tools. He worked quickly and efficiently, and he did an excellent installation. He even disconnected the old fixtures and put the bulbs into the new fixtures. I will definitely check in with Handy.com for future projects.I had purchased a 4 X 8 ft. Lean to greenhouse I did not feel confident enough to build myself. Handy came to the rescue in spades. My greenhouse went up quickly, and the superlative Joseph gave 110% throughout the procedure. He even discovered errors in the instruction manual, and corrected them! Nobody could ask for more! I now have a nice looking structure due to Joseph's know how and professionalism. Two very enthusiastic thumbs up!First time using Handy for installation of a TV entertainment center I purchased. The installer (Christopher) was excellent. He was prompt, courteous, knowledgeable and polite. The manufacturer did not provide adequate instructions but Christopher was knowledgeable enough to install my equipment nonetheless. Great job all around! Will use again!Handy services can be hit and miss. Too many think they can noddle their way through any project. The quintessential jack of all trades… Our service today was performed by Julian. He was prompt, a big deal to me. He was friendly and professional. He asked permission to work where the furniture was going to be placed rather than just doing what was convenient for him. Julian worked efficiently and left a spotless workspace. His craftsmanship was very good. When I have need for such services in the future, I will call Handy and request Julian.We live in Celebration where most folks want to settle in, not far from Disney or Universal. Both my husband and I feel that this guy is one whom most will seek but seldom find in today's fast pace. He was quick, conscientious and precise about our wall hangings. The handyman was professional and personable. He really knows his craft. What an exceptional young man--very talented. He had the cabinet I ordered from the internet up in almost no time. His work is solid. It was delightful working with him. I would definitely recommend him and would like to work with him again. Very happy.I love that handy allows you to book high quality cleaning professionals so easily. However, I took off a star because the app does not allow you to cancel your subscription without 3 months of recurring weekly cleaning fees. I wish that was more clear. Luckily, the service is great and I'm getting addicted to having my house sparkling clean. But if your budget is tight--be prepared for weekly charges of $100+ on a weekly basis for 3 months minimum with no way out. I would rate this app/service 5 stars if it was either more transparent or more flexible for customers. Johncarlos installed two ceiling fans for me (one of which was very complicated) and he was outstanding. He was knowledgeable, professional and very courteous! I was able to schedule the service quickly and it was cost efficient as well. Ask for Johncarlos when you need any handy work in your home or business!I have a Handyman company (2 of us) and thought I was getting in on a great opportunity with Handy... BIG MISTAKE! No customer service, seriously, none! They only communicate with email. I pulled the plug on the last job when the customer had already had the work done and Handy listed it. They cost me a lot of money that day and were not willing to accept responsibility for their mistake. I'm done with Handy. Never again!I would never recommend Handy. The service providers that you hire are usually good enough but the problem with Handy is their customer service. They have atrocious handling of their service inquiries and you can never seem to cancel a service even after completing your package purchased. I purchased a 5 pack and they keep renewing my service and then saying they'll charge if I cancel. Handy has made no effort to fix the problem other than offering me $175 for a new sink. AND, they want me to sign a release which states if I take the money, I can be fined $5000 for posting a negative review - regardless of the veracity. STAY away. FIND your own handyman.Cory F. STAY AWAY FROM THEM.I ordered a bathroom cabinet with 4 drawers that requires assembly. To save myself from the hassle and frustration of putting this cabinet together I ordered ir with the assembly service. I'm very glad I did. Handy sent reminders for the booking, the handy pro was professional, courteous, followd safey protocol and completed the task in a timely manner. They missed the first visit, we called, they said we owed them for them not showing. We eventually worked that out and rescheduled with new person. Well over the next couple of months they failed to show 50% of the time and charged us $10 every time THEY DID NOT SHOW. This last time we canceled for breach of contract. They charged us $99 to cancel even though they have already violated the contract terms. RUN!I purchased a adjustable bed frame from Walmart and added the additional charge to have someone from Handy.com assemble the frame. After three rescheduled appointments, I cancelled Handy. The company sets an appointment but there is not a person behind the appointment. The "pro" has to accept the job. How can you set an appointment like that?! Bad idea. I would never use that service again and certainly not recommend them.Ordered dining chairs from Wayfair and as they were flat pack needed them to be put together as being elderly not able to do this ourselves. Appointment was made with Handy who arranged the appointment for the day after goods were delivered. Nipa arrived at exactly the time arranged. He was smartly dressed, very polite and courteous. No problem with the social distancing with job was completed efficiently and fairly quickly. Would recommend and will use Handy again if needed.Used handy twice for home cleaning - please stay away at all costs. Unfortunately I signed up for a package and they won't let me get out of it, even though their so-called "pros" know as much about cleaning as my 8 year old. When I tried to tell handy, they just offer token gift cards so I'm stuck with this waste of time and energy that I paid for. Even a small bathroom, takes an hour or more. So, during a 4-hour session I got two bathrooms + a powder room done (with mildew still visible in the shower and dirt gobs on the floor - from being mopped without being swept first), partial kitchen and a very soapy main floor. Each time the service was done, my husband and I had to spend another few hours cleaning up their mess. Handy should definitely drop offering cleaning services and leave this up to the regular cleaning companies. So disappointed!Love Handy! Got 2 pros on one day for 2 different tasks and was able to easily communicate with them through the app. They both came on-time and delivered high-quality work, thank you Handy!
